Project 'Saturn' Suspended
After months of development effort, project 'Saturn' to add C# support to VS Law 2005
(to be known as version 2.1) has been suspended indefinitely.
It is with considerable regret that we must announce that owing to insufficient
sales of our .NET products (VS Law .NET 1.0 and VS Law 2005) we have decided to suspend
all further development of these products. The continuous rate of change of
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET coupled with competing against FXCop as a free download
has made our
.NET products no longer viable to develop on a commercial basis.
This means that we will not be adding support for C# and neither will we support
Visual Basic 9 (the version that will ship with Visual Studio 2008 known as 'Orcas')
or beyond.
Please note that we will of course continue to support all of our existing products
and customers. We continue to have great affection for all of our products and never
cease to be amazed at the continued sales of VB Law for Visual Basic 6.
We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused
and can only ask for understanding of the reasons behind this most difficult decision.
That's all for now folks!
Questions and feedback most welcome
and greatly appreciated.
