Thanks for the quick response. As a software development manager, I love VB Law and have modified and created all sorts of rules to enforce our standards. It is a great tool.

VB Law has helped us overcome the issue of having to remember different naming conventions and has therefore improved the standard 'look' of the code we write. It has also increased our development teams' motivation to maintain a higher quality of code.

Implementing peer code reviews is now much easier using VB Law. Standards compliance can be checked in minutes leaving the reviewer more time to concentrate on other issues.

The rules provided were a great start and we could quickly change the rules and naming conventions to suit our standards meaning we were able to start using the tool quickly. Support requests were responded to very quickly and efficiently, help with writing rules was excellent and those rules helped us find some hard to find bugs where objects were not being cleaned down correctly.

Overall, we are very impressed with VB Law and have found it a very useful addition to our toolset. We used it on several projects whilst we were trialing it and now it has been rolled out to all our development teams. We can't wait to see the new version for Visual Studio .NET!

Thanks for the very prompt response. The rule is exactly what I was looking for - I'm very impressed with the power of VB Law and its ability to handle our existing coding standards - I think I have almost all of them implemented in VB Law now (most of them matched the rules provided in your sample rulebase to begin with).

VB Law is excellent and has saved us soooo much time in getting the code up to standard.

Thanks again! You guys are some of the most helpful, competent, and reasonable that i have run across. I also want to say that my first impression is that VB Law is well designed and easy to use. I have not yet tried to create a rule, but I have been able modify a couple of the rules in sample.law. Making the changes was straight forward and surprisingly easy. Also the sample rules seem very comprehensive.
